Hi! My name is Zacnité!
As a nurse, I’ve seen how movement and access to wellness can look different for everyone. After experiencing a back injury myself, I turned to classical Pilates and found not only relief, but a renewed connection to my body. Pilates helped me move with comfort again—and over time, I’ve felt stronger, more grounded, and more at home in myself. My goal is to share this practice in a way that’s inclusive, empowering, and accessible to all, so everyone has the opportunity to feel strong and supported in their own body.
Fun fact: I’m a native Spanish speaker and teach bilingual Pilates classes! I love bringing this beautiful practice to Spanish-speaking communities and creating spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, and strong.
Fuerzas Pilates is a wellness space rooted in the belief that movement should be inclusive, empowering, and culturally affirming. Founded by a nurse passionate about health equity, Fuerzas offers classical Pilates with a community-centered approach—welcoming all bodies, all levels, and especially uplifting Spanish-speaking and historically excluded communities.

What is Pilates?
Pilates is a low-impact exercise method focused on core strength, flexibility, alignment, and mindful movement. It was created by Joseph Pilates and can be adapted for all bodies and levels.
What should I bring to class?
Just a yoga/Pilates mat, water, and comfortable clothes you can move in. Some classes may use props (like a Pilates ball or resistance band), but these are optional unless stated otherwise.
Do I need experience to join?
Not at all! Classes are open to all levels, and modifications are always offered to meet your needs.
How often should I practice Pilates?
2–3 times a week is a great place to start for noticeable strength and mobility improvements. Even once a week can be beneficial.
How do virtual classes work?
Virtual classes are hosted live via Zoom. You’ll need a stable internet connection and a space where you can move freely. Cameras are encouraged for feedback and safety.
Do you offer private sessions?
Yes! I offer in-home or on-location private sessions tailored to your goals and schedule.
What’s the difference between mat and equipment Pilates?
Mat Pilates uses your body weight and small props on a mat. Equipment Pilates uses machines like the Reformer or Cadillac, which offer resistance and support. Fuerzas Pilates focuses on classical mat Pilates.
Do you offer classes in Spanish?
¡Sí! I teach bilingual Pilates classes in both English and Spanish to support Spanish-speaking communities.
